1664 Groove Tubes (Pegs)

1664 Groove Tubes are Canadian made sticks of steel. Well, chromoly, but you get the point. They are 4 3/8" long and are 1 3/8" wide and come in size 14mm and the unforgettable 3/8". One of the best things about these pegs is the price. They also have 3 stop bolt functions, weigh in at a light 300g and come in black and chrome. I did the math, and they round off to about $20 a pair. Well worth it to upgrade from those paper thin pipes on the side of your stock ride.

The Groove Tubes are as the name suggests, groovy. They have little grooves all throughout the peg but are so minute that they wont effect your ledge grinding sessions. They will help you out on coping and rails, but not astoundingly. I personally grabbed a pair of hardcore black ones, to match my cute baby blue bike... yeah... Well, I noticed that the blackness grinds off rather easily. I know that is expected, but this was just freaky. Along with the disappearing paint, came curved ends. The ends of the pegs seemed to be alot weaker than the rest because after setting my bike down day after day the ends began to curl. It's not that big a problem, but doesn't look that good.

I'm not much of a grinder, and haven't actually gone through a peg, but these seemed to be a nice, quick, light pair of pegs. They are cheap and have a cool name. Support Canadian BMX and grab a pair! 9/10
