At the beginning and end of every day, the riders had to take a ferry boat back and forth from the park to the hotel. It was a long sweaty ride they didn't look forward to. Todd said the first time they were on the ferry, Jeff said "I am already sick of this Ferry. I can't believe we are going to be doing this twice a day for the next 9 days."

On the Ferry ride home, Brian noticed something. The smell of the fish in the river was almost as bad as the Arabian Sea. The stench multiplied at night when the water became calm. As the ferry streamed across the river, it broke the seal of the glassy water realeasing a smell stronger than Tyson on steroids in a roomful of women. It was so nasty the riders thought they were going to die. Brian was the first the retrieve a sample of the smell by actually getting the water splashed on his face. He was unfortunate enough to stick his head out the side of the boat when a splash of water covered the side of the boat. This was the last time Brian would put his head over the side of the ferry. Live and Learn

These guys went to India to do the shows thinking it would be a good experience. If not that, then at least an interesting adventure. Well it was both for them. Todd said:

"Going into the trip, I thought we were just going to be ordinary performers. Next thing I know, we were being interviewed by TV Stations being asked how our visit will effect the state of India. I didn't know what to say. I just came to ride my bike and show the people of India what BMX is all about. I didn't think our presence was going to have an effect on the Nation of India. I don't even remember my answer to their question."

Overall, the trip was a huge success. The riders learned to speak a little Hindi, they met many great people and they learned to ride in the extreme heat. The theme park is interested in having them come back again next year. Plans are to build a halfpipe and get the same riders back next year.

We would also like to announce there is now one modern BMX bike in India. That's right. One. Dave White sold his Dirt Brothers bike to someone that wants to start jumping. Dave was sad to sell his bike, but hopes it inspires more people to ride in Bombay. Congratulations to Dirt Brothers. They can now claim the best bike in India is one of theirs.

To conclude our mission to Bombay, the riders put all their clothes in sealed bags to retain the scent of the fish. This was overall objective in India after all.

The riders would like to thank all those at Essel World for everything. These people were some of the friendliest people they had ever met. Especially Sanjay, Amit and the announcer Shaggy. They look forward to going back there next year.
