BMXStunts:
What got you into riding?
Dave: A kid up
the street when I was 11 years old raced a Haro Master. I wanted
a bike ever since.
BMXStunts:
What Kind of bikes have you ridden?
Dave: A Team Murray was my first bike. Standard Lengthy was the
best bike I have ever ridden. Now I'm on Dirt Brothers.
BMXStunts:
What is your favorite trick?
Dave:
Funfanu to Icepick on a Sub box.
BMXStunts:
What is your favorite riding experience?
Dave: I did a 7 foot high Lookback at Moreno Valley vert ramp, got
my bars stuck in my shirt, hung back wheel in that position and
was catapulted to flat bottom on my hip. My back and hip have never
been the same since that day. Then everyone laughed at me.
BMXStunts:
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
Dave: That I am still alive.
BMXStunts:
Do you have expectations for yourself in riding?
Dave: No. Just to have fun while riding. It seems like if everyone
has fun riding together you don't think about progression. It happens
without you knowing it.
BMXStunts:
Who do you ride with?
Dave: All the locals and most importantly the dirt brothers.
BMXStunts:
Do you have a favorite riding spot?
Dave: Any place that will let bikes ride.
BMXStunts:
How often do you ride?
Dave: I try to ride at least 4 times a week. Depends on how my back
is feeling. If that is good, then every day.
BMXStunts:
Are there riders you think influence the sport or you enjoy watching?
Dave: Any rider who has been the first to do tricks before anyone
else even thinks about it, and who is not afraid to try. New school
riders would know nothing of that!!!
BMXStunts:
What is your top motivation for riding?
Dave: Riding makes my mind feel good about myself. Seeing my friends
and how everyone is doing with their riding.
BMXStunts:
Any idols?
Dave: Jay Miron, Dave Friemuth, Keith Treanor, Dave Asato. Anyone
who did the trick 10 years ago. Like Dave Voelker. All people that
ride with consistency like Joe Rich.
BMXStunts:
How long do you see yourself riding?
Dave: Until my body tells me otherwise. That could be tomorrow.
Who knows.
